The American Frozen Food Institute and Food Marketing Institute will soon be roommates.
AFFI announced Friday that it is moving from current offices in McLean, Va, to FMI headquarters in Arlington, Va., in April. The frozen food industry association will rent 3,200 square feet from FMI and share common spaces such as conference rooms and a kitchen.
The $7 million-revenue AFFI is currently located on the 10th floor on an office building at 2000 Corporate Ridge in McLean. The $32 million-revenue FMI's offices are at 2345 Crystal Drive in Arlington, or roughly 13 miles east of AFFI's current location.
"I'm pleased to announce that AFFI's offices will be relocated closer to Washington, D.C., to enhance AFFI's ability to advocate for frozen," AFFI CEO Alison Bodor said. "AFFI and FMI are eager to explore additional operational efficiencies and ways to enhance member value from both organizations vested in the success of frozen foods and beverages."
In addition to the office move, FMI CEO Leslie Sarasin is scheduled to deliver the industry spotlight address at AFFI's upcoming trade show March 5 in Las Vegas.
CEO Dateline will resume Tuesday, Feb. 20.
